Adding value to my practice

I am a member of the American Board for Integrative and Holistic Medicine. I have completed more than 40 hours of formal continuing education in this area as part of the ABIHM Conference. I have completed more than 100 additional hours of independent study in this area and enjoy working closely with individuals and integrative health professionals.

More About Carol

From a young age, I quickly became aware that how I experienced life was, in many ways, different than how others experienced it. I felt things in my gut, knew things in my heart, and questioned absolutely everything in my mind.

For a long time, I tried to push away the feelings and intuitions so that I could “fit in with the crowd” – but stifling myself actually made me physically and chronically ill.

Then, by a huge stroke of luck, I discovered a way of being that welcomed those intuitions, that opened the door to the person I had desperately needed to be, the person I am. I strolled right into my profession of bodywork.

I “get” to help people be their personal best on many levels. I “get” to be authentic by using a skill set that I not only trained for but that I was born with. I turn up the power on my giant satellite dish of a body and tune into people so that what can be accomplished is touchable and visible. From there, I simultaneously match my perceptions with those of the client and work to meet his/her current needs. The degree of movement; the pressure; rhythm; temperature of the room; the amount of clothing worn; whether or not we talk; etc… the client serves as my guide.

Together, committed to our mutual wellbeing, we explore the possibilities of attaining optimal personal health of body, mind, and spirit. We work as partners in healing.
